This course is designed to support health and social care workers, who are new to supporting individuals with a mental health condition, to achieve minimum standards where more specialist skills are needed.
The course defines mental health and gives the learner information and knowledge on how to support individuals with mental health conditions.
There is also information on the impact of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Mental Health Act 1983 to care provision.
