This course aims at increasing the learner's awareness of Parkinson's Disease.
The course has information on the causes of Parkinson’s disease. The learner will be informed in detail about primary motor symptoms of the condition, and also other common symptoms that an individual may experience, including ‘freezing’, hallucinations and impulse control problems.
The course outlines the different treatment options available for an individual with Parkinson’s disease, including medication, surgery and alternative therapies. The course also outlines good practice when working with individuals who have a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.
